User Psychology
Over the twelve week module, we went on to study the vast topic areas within the world of psychology, analysing the behaviour and mental processes which helps a person to better understand what goes on within ourselves when we try to make sense of the world around us. The module progressed towards a major focus in the field of user psychology, researching and examining how, as designers, we would better understand our potential users in order to produce an engaging experience in the products we create.
Task
To develop a portfolio of work from the weekly content, researching and critically analysing each proposed question.
This module was primarily research based, therefore all coursework to complete the module consisted of written work. A few examples of the weekly written submissions, including the topic question for each submission, has been supplied below.
After consolidating our knowledge on the various fields of psychology and the techniques designers may use in order to persuade a specific user experience, we then went on to use said knowledge in order to develop a final essay, answering the question: Why is an understanding of Psychology important in Design?
